Wrist Arthroscopy

Wrist arthroscopy allows visualisation of the radio-carpal and midcarpal joint. It allows staging of cartilage injury in patients with SLAC or SNAC wrists: i.e. those who have developed OA after a scaphoid non-union or ligament injury.

It also allows diagnosis of TFCC (ulna-carpal ligament) injuries and ulna abutment syndrome (when the ulna has become relatively long and is hitting off the lunate bone).

It allows debridement of the soft tissues within the wrist joint.
